Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! Sean and I got a lot accomplished and also went to a local adoption agency to get more info on the process. Exciting stuff!
One of my favorite EASY EATS is Turkey Taco Meat. I know I’ve mentioned this on more than one occasion- but I could eat tacos at least once a week. I might need an intervention! lol
In order to make this a FAST go-to meal I take a package of lean ground turkey- brown it up, add a few tablespoons of HOME MADE TACO SEASONING, finish cooking it, let it cool, & weight it out into 3 ounce baggies. I pop the small baggies into a large freezer baggie and whenever the craving hits, I just take one out! They thaw nicely on the counter or even defrost well in the microwave for a fast meal.
The normal use for this seasoned meat is as a filling for tacos, burritos, topped on nachos, and even in a taco salad. I like to come up with other ways to use it too! Today I got creative and topped some sautéed zucchini with 3 ounces of turkey taco meat and a little finely shredded cheddar cheese for a delicious lunch!
Are you creative with your turkey (or beef) taco seasoned meat?? I love knowing what other ways people use things for and I thought this was a strange way to eat this at first but after the first bite I knew it was delicious!

That looks amazing! It's Taco Tuesday tonight for us and now I'm super stoked! My seasoning is different every time because I just look in the cupboard and say to myself "this would be good, oh and so would this!" It usually turns out okay... usually lol.
ReplyDeleteI love taco meat. When I make it, I made a LOT so we can eat leftovers and have quick meals. Top it over a baked potato or sweet potato. I will even use it in a breakfast burrito. Yum! Love the zucchini idea!
