Pure Canadian Maple Syrup Topped Protein Pancakes!

Coming home from Fitbloggin12 & unpacking my swag bag was FUN! I’m not gonna lie, I like free goodies! Just when I thought my bag was empty I noticed a little pocket inside with a bottle of maple syrup! I knew that I needed to make my protein pancakes for breakfast ASAP!

Maple Syrup

Did you know-

Pure maple syrup is an all-natural energy booster and a superior sweetener choice to help fuel your body before, during and after a workout. With over 54 antioxidants and rich in manganese and zinc, this sweetener helps protect muscle cells from oxidative damage caused by intense physical exercise and is a great nutritional source for muscle recovery. (taken from the web site of  Pure Canadian Maple Syrup)

Wow! Plus what I like about using maple syrup to sweeten things up is a little goes a long way! 1 Tablespoon is only 1PP if you are following Weight Watchers and 2TB=3PP!

Special thanks to the Maple syrup peeps for making my breakfast taste sweeter and for opening my eyes to the health benefits too! That site also has some great recipes that I can’t wait to check out & you should too!

Do you already have a recipe that uses maple syrup in it? Tell me all about it! Smile

  1. Yay for another post! :) I don't really have any recipes that use maple syrup, but I love the stuff! Maple syrup always came in mason jars from a farm my entire childhood. It never came from a store in a plastic bottle. To this day I cannot eat anything other than pure maple syrup. Mrs. Butterworths and like = nasty! And "lite" syrup - that's just bull#*$@! :) #TeamRealMapleSyrup I look forward to seeing what others do with it!

  4. I feel the same way, I smiled wide when I saw your post, really hope you are feeling better! I like to use maple syrup to sweeten my Sunday morning treat - a homemade iced mocha coffee! I combine 1 T Special Dark cocoa powder with 1 T maple syrup for what seems like forever (but they do eventually mix). Then I stir in 2 T half and half (I said this was a treat!) and pour that mixture into 6 oz strong coffee with 8 ice cubes. Mmmm. :-)
