We are so incredibly happy to be able to start our family! We still have plans to adopt too! The more the merrier! 
I think this also explains my lack of posts. I have been eating kinda weird. lol I made it through the first few weeks without getting sick, but I sure was picky with what I ate. Nothing sounds good, so my meal planning went out the window! I never know what I will feel like and if I plan on a meal it never sounds good come dinner time! WEIRD!
I think the strangest thing so far is that childhood comfort foods are what I crave the most. My Mom already made me meatloaf, & spaghetti with meatballs. She has been spoiling me with making exactly what I want each time I go visit.
On my NO list- raw veggies. WHO AM I? I can eat a salad, but certain raw veggies- cucumber, bell peppers, radish- they all give me indigestion. UGH!
On my MUST have list- FRUIT!
I can’t get enough in my mouth! lol
I would also like to re-name the first trimester as CARBTIME! I swear all I wanted was carbs, especially when I was a little queasy.
Now I think what I am most concerned about is weight gain. Well yes, I will be gaining weight. As you can see I already have! lol I think what I am most proud of is the fact that I was able to lose weight to get my body healthier before I did get pregnant. I know with my back issues, any extra weight is not good for me, so I feel good about NOT being 232 lbs starting out.
I did have to quit Weight Watchers, but I love the program so much that I will certainly re-join as soon as I can. It works!
As far as recipe posts from me- I still plan on it! I do not have access to the Recipe Builder on e-tools, so all of my posts will be missing the points plus values on them.
I already have gotten so many wonderful emails & messages full of congratulations & well wishes & I must say they all make me cry with happiness so much! Darn pregnancy hormones! lol
Since this is my first time experiencing all of the joys of becoming a Mom please feel free to share any tips and or links to web sites that may have helped you! I would enjoy reading them!

Congratulations!!! I am 20 weeks myself, and totally understand the insane carb-ness of the first trimester! I lived on saltine goldfish for weeks, it was all I could stomach! It *does* get better!

ReplyDeleteSo happy for you! My second cousin had a healthy baby boy 18 months ago at the age of 45 and a half! She got married for the first time in November of 2010, pregnant that next July and had her son April 2011.

I can honestly say that having gone through a healthy lifestyle transition has made it easier to keep myself in check throughout this pregnancy so far, and because of that, I've been feeling great and have avoided most of the things women experience.
