Hi everyone! I have been counting each week that passes with a sigh of relief. Early on, holding my breath to make sure all was going well and now enjoying every part of this experience.

All is going great! We did opt to have an amnio, skipped the pre-testing, and we were thrilled when we received the call that we have a healthy baby GIRL! So I went SHOPPING!!! I could not help myself! So many cute girl stuff out there!

Not too many issues besides the fact that I shun most raw veggies. Indigestion is NO fun! lol Even a few cooked ones I can no longer eat! I wake up hungry, have a larger lunch than I am use to, and dinner is on the small side. I have been enjoying frozen yogurt on occasion. Hey it's calcium! lol

I still feel like I can’t get enough fruit! lol

I did make a yummy dinner recently that I had never made before! THIS Coq Au Vin recipe from Martha Stewart. It was delicious and I got to use my new Le Creuset!

We have been busy picking out the nursery furniture.

I’ve enjoyed unpacking items that were given to me as a baby! I can’t wait to start decorating!

Baby stuff is taking over the house!

These books are really helpful! The Baby Bargain book helped me decide on so many items! Great rating system and tons of tips!

All is going well with my back so far…I have been keeping up with my pool routine, still attending the aerobics water class too. My doctor was happy that I was able to get to a pool- best exercise for us pregnant peeps!
We are headed to Kauai for a much needed vacation soon! We can’t wait to get our toes in the sand! Anyone have any favorite spots there that we can check out? We loved using Yelp to find tasty places to eat when we went to Maui, but any tips would be helpful for this new island adventure!
I would also love any tips, websites, or items that you all could recommend to me being a first time Mom. I have been trying to work on my registry and also learning basic things like what diapers to buy! Seriously SO many things to learn!
Thanks everyone! Have a fantastic day!
I swear your fruit pics are food porn for me. Must be a preggers thing. OK, now you've got me wanting to SHOP. Waiting until we know what it is, lol.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a post about what you choose for your registry! I would like to know what diapers you chose! Congrats! You look great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You look AMAZING! Love all the baby stuff :) I hope you have a fabulous time on vacation!

AWWWW!!! Congrats on the little girl inside TJ! You look fantastic, glad all is going well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so thrilled for you and Sean. You'll be awesome parents. You look healthy and radiant...can't wait to "meet" Mini-You!
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking to cloth diaper my friends really love the ease of the pocket diapers by Fuzzibunz and Bum Genius. If you want disposables look into the Honest Company. They are chemical free diapers and they are mail order so you can set up a subscription to never run out. Plus their super cute designs never hurt anyone!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy every part of this time in your lives!
Weee!! So glad all is well. I bet the swimming is great exercise - I swam today for 30 minutes without stopping - its hard!
ReplyDeleteDon't know you but so happy for you!!! I was a lot like you when I had my third child at age 39- you'd think she was my first and the older two were 12 and 15! Common sense is best but read some good books and we all know this child will be well loved. Don't be nervous- she won't break and yes, there will be a few days when you are overwhelmed but accept help! Now pick out a cute name...maybe Shawna after Sean?? Probably too confusing LOL. We ended up with Abigail and then 'plain' old Abby.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on having a girl! You look radiant and so healthy. I am so happy for your both!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I had to think about baby stuff - so much has changed.
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time buying and planning for your little one.
Yea! Isn't it fun to buy little girl stuff? Enjoy it! Don't forget to buy yourself a journal. Write in it every night after the baby is born. She will love, love, love to read it when she is older. You'll love it too, even if it's just dumb stuff. Trust me, it goes fast and you DO forget!
ReplyDeleteHi TJ, I'm loving your enthusiasm as you write about this special time in your lives. Never having had children, I've got no advice for you. But I just wanted to comment that your daughter will surely thrive with such a loving mother as you.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for such a sweet comment. :)
DeleteI am sooo excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like everything is going wonderfully! Yay! so happy to read this. You will make a wonderful mommy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy these memorable, magical moments.
ReplyDeletevery exciting and nervous times. Thinking what you need to buy and will it be right etc etc. We have all been there, embrace it and enjoy bringing a little bundle of joy into the world.
